Force Majeure Cancellation Policy

This policy applies when unforeseen events beyond your control occur after booking, making your stay objectively impossible or illegal.

If an event is covered by this policy, it takes precedence over our regular cancellation policy. Affected guests may choose between:

  • a refund of the amount paid, minus a 10% administrative fee,

    or

  • a credit of equal value, applicable to a future stay.

Covered Situations

  • Major changes or new government restrictions prohibiting travel

  • Local or national emergencies, epidemics or pandemics declared by health authorities

  • Armed conflicts or acts of war

  • Major natural disasters making access or stay impossible

(excluding regular weather conditions or short service interruptions)

Situations Not Covered

The following situations are not covered, even if unexpected or disruptive:

  • Illness or injury (including COVID-19)

  • Legal obligations (jury duty, court appearances, etc.)

  • Cancellation or rescheduling of an event you planned to attend

  • Road closures or transport disruptions (unless caused by a covered event)

  • Travel advisories or warnings that do not prohibit travel

In these cases, our regular cancellation policy applies.

Specific Note on COVID-19

As COVID-19 is now a well-known reality, it no longer qualifies as a force majeure event.

Any cancellations related to COVID-19 (illness, isolation, personal restrictions, etc.) fall under our standard cancellation policy.
